My Early Childhood Special Education classroom is a room filled with inspiring students that spend hours and hours working on skills that many of us take for granted. Each of these students works to overcome these challenges that hinder them academically, socially, and behaviorally. Despite everything my students face, they still come to school with a smile on their faces ready to learn.
Each of my students has a "label," but that label tells us so little about all of the wonderful things each of them can do, aspire to be, and accomplish. No matter what set of challenges the students face, our focus is always on the small successes that show individual student growth. The smile that spreads across the face of a student when they experience that success, is the reason I keep coming back day in and day out. My students are truly inspiring!
