A classroom should be a warm, inviting place. It should be clean, comfortable, and safe. This is especially true for Kindergarten. Children and parents may be anxious about what to expect when the littlest learners show up for their first school experience. Our classroom provides so many wonderful things: manipulatives to create and understand, books to learn and enjoy, computers and a Smartboard to engage and communicate. Kindergartners love to listen to stories while sitting criss cross applesauce. They love to spread out on the floor and make patterns during math centers. And of course everyone loves finding a soft spot to read with our book buddy stuffed animals. But, sadly, we lack a carpet!
