I teach Science and Social Studies to 5th graders in a Title 1 school. My students are busy from bell to bell. These students are eager to learn. Many come from lower income homes. Fifth grade is a great year for students. They are becoming more independent and learning to be contributing citizens in their community. It's a year of much growth. It's amazing to see this growth at the end of the year.
