My goal is to build connections between the two targeted languages through reading without direct translation. We love to read! Reading a book in both languages makes such impact on my students’ learning. Students are able to make connections between two languages and internalize new language skills. I need help extending our library. Eric Carle is our favorite author. His books teach not only language skills but also many other areas, including math, science and interpersonal skills. Most of his books are translated into many languages; Chinese is one of them. With your help, I can extend our bilingual reading corner starting with Eric Carle's books in Chinese and English.
