Teaching reading can be tricky at any level, but in 4th grade, students either love reading or they hate it.
My goal as a reading teacher is to nurture my students' love of reading. By having quality books they can read together in literature circles or book clubs, they will be transported to new worlds and adventures thereby creating a true passion for reading.
My kiddos would be able to use these amazing books to make connections, compare and contrast various authors' works, and see how the authors use words to paint entire worlds for their audiences.
Being able to get 5 copies of each book wouldn't just benefit my students either. My entire school would be able to use these books by checking them out of our literacy library. Instead of impacting 65 students, the donation of these books would help bring a love of reading to a little over 600 students!
