Students use the drums to keep the beat in PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade and on. More drums means that more students can play at one time. Students learn to keep the beat as the first step in learning rhythms.
These drums will be used to accompany songs and games. Students may keep the beat, improvise or play an ostinato (a repeated rhythm pattern) with songs and games. Oh, what fun we will have.
Students are so excited to play any instrument, especially the drums. The different size of drums will provide the opportunity to explore timbre or different types of sounds.
