In pre-k and kindergarten the children are developing print and phonemic awareness as they learn to read. My students need pictures to describe and label everything as they become adjusted to the new experience of school. We need a color printer for our word wall, labeling pictures with the alphabet, and learning centers. We also need storage to house all of the manipulatives and hands-on learning center items in a bookshelf. Having a class iPad would be so helpful for the students to learn letters and sounds through technology in an engaging and relevant way that they relate and connect to learning.
