I teach kindergarten in a low-income neighborhood school. These children come to school so eager to learn and grow everyday. Our school and PTA do everything they can to support us but there is only so much "extra" money to be used for classroom materials. In a school with over 500 elementary students that money does not always go very far to purchase extra materials for us to use to enhance learning. I am reaching out for extra support to help my students become lifelong independent learners through the use of many hands-on activities.
