I have 22 wonderful students in my second grade classroom with varying reading abilities. The range of reading levels in my class are kindergarten through fourth grade. The school where I teach is located in a low income area in our district where 78.8% of the students attending the school are classified as low income. The school includes grades KN-5. I have 12 girls and 10 boys in my class. Seven of my students are learning English as a second language. Three of my students are diagnosed with ADD. One student is receiving services for special education. One student has selective mutism.
