It's no secret that children need to move! The yoga balls, stadium chairs, and beanbags allow students the opportunity to bounce, wiggle, and lounge, which increases oxygen flow to the brain and helps to keep young minds focused and alert.
My students are noticeably more engaged and focused when they are given a choice of where to work. The floor cushions and beanbag chairs are an option for students who prefer to work away from a desk. I currently have six beanbag chairs and need the refill beans to bring them back to life for this year's students.
I have seen the benefits of flexible seating choices in my classroom and hope that these additional seating options will help to meet the needs of each of my students.
