My school is a rural county, Title I school where the majority of our student body receives free lunch. Many of the students have never had any real experience outside of their hometown which limits their vocabulary knowledge. Background knowledge is difficult to discuss due to the lack of experience. Many students have parents that must travel out of town for work due to a lack of industry in the area. Adding travel time for work into already very busy family time makes it difficult for parents to have "extra" time to help reinforce skills at home. Please help me make learning in the classroom the best it can be. WE appreciate your support! :-)
