My students need a class carpet to come together as a community. In a first grade classroom, the majority of whole group lessons begin on the carpet. When I am sitting on the carpet with my students it is a time for us to come together as a community. One that cares for each other and shares ideas.
A Spot For Everyone Classroom Carpet allows students to sit in a designated area, as to stay focused on the lesson at hand. When a student is focused on learning, they will own what they learn and apply it to other areas of their academics.
