The Scholastic magazines are a great way for the students to engage in nonfiction reading. It is relevant and simple enough for the students to engage in both as a class and independently. In the past, the students love the digital resources that are included. They are also relevant to what is currently happening in the world, such as holidays and seasonal activities. The phonics items will strengthen the students reading abilities. They will help to create different reading centers that the students can independently and collaboratively work on. A rocking chair is essential to creating a cozy and warm environment for the students to feel at ease and be able to engage in the lessons.
