My class consists of 33 Transitional Kindergarten students. Transitional Kindergarten, better known as "TK" is designed for 4 and 5 year old students as a opportunity to focus on social, emotional, and motor development as well as academic readiness in preparation for Kindergarten and beyond. Our school has about 650 students and they come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences. My students are creative, full of energy, and are excited to try new things. They come to school ready to learn and explore the classroom and the world around them. Each day brings new and different experiences, learning opportunities, problems to solve, and choices to be made. Our class motto is "Always try your best!".
