I am a 5th grade teacher working at a high-need community school. One of my roles as a 5th grade teacher is to prepare my students to pass a state mandated reading exam. In order to prepare my students I must first instill in them the love for reading. I am trying to do this not only for my class but for the entire 5th grade level. Not only do I want to prepare them for future exams but I want to prepare them for college and life. Once they love to read, they will become life-long readers. This would be my ultimate dream!!!
