I teach sixth grade English in an intermediate school in Mississippi. My classroom is very diverse. I teach on a block schedule and see between 27-30 kids each block. The students are between 11-14 years of age and come from various socio-economic backgrounds. My students also differ within ability level and achievement. I am an inclusion classroom, which means I have students that suffer from ADD, ADHD, autism, speech and hearing difficulties, specific learning disabilities, and behavioral issues.
I have been teaching for twelve years. This is the first time I have ever used donors choose and look forward to gaining materials to enhance my classroom environment.
