"Pleasure reading" is a time during our class that is offered each day in addition to "read aloud". It is a magical time where I look around and see the reading culture that is being set within our class. My students spread across the room, engrossed in their books, and enjoying some alone time. The room takes on the atmosphere of peace. Something that is missing in several of these students daily lives. This time has become so precious to the students.
We are a classroom full of Growth Mindset and focused learning. These Title One students deserve all of the opportunity I can provide them in learning about the world they live in. I hope to expand the opportunities through the use of this website and with the help of generous donations!
