I currently teach 22 enthusiastic kindergarten students in a low-income inner city school in Tennessee. Most of the students at my school receive free or reduced lunch. We serve principally African-American students. Even with all of the challenges that they face every day, the children are so excited about learning to read, write letters, numbers and show off their work!
