Some of the resources I chose for our project are: a durable, mobile green screen background that can be rolled up easily for storing, a microphone to help with sound, and a tripod to hold the Ipad we record the newscasts with. We've noticed the cameraperson had problems keeping a steady hand and then our product ends up unsteady. The green screen will help the students create different backgrounds for their news casting so they can record in "different locations".
The last resources I added were some awesome books on a diverse range of important people, past and present, for the kids to read about. We have an end of year project called the wax museum where the students have to recreate an important person in history. These books will help my students continue to learn about different people around the country and around the world to help them learn about history and how changes have been made throughout the last few centuries.
The last resource I chose were books on European explorers for a social studies project we are currently doing. Our library doesn't have the necessary resources my students need to complete the project. My grade level was recently told that we need to update our classroom social studies books to help the students research better.
