Welcome to my classroom. I am Mrs. Martin, the Jr. High Math teacher at South Pekin Grade School. I teach 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. We are a small, one school district and Title I Public School full of wonderful children, but a school lacking resources for many things except the essentials. Many of my students are below-grade level in math. It is a struggle for some of them to do well in school, because they do not have the support at home.
In my math class, I try to make the class interesting, so they enjoy learning. Hands-on activities and making the material applicable to "real-world" situations makes learning exciting.
Thanks for taking a look at our math class!
