My students come from a low-income area, and will more than likely never have exposure to life-cycle systems outside of the classroom. I chose things like butterflies, ladybugs, tadpoles and ants, because they are animals that the students will have a background knowledge of. What is nice about all of the products I chose, is that I can continue using them for many years. All that I will need to do is replace the living things on a yearly basis. Your generous donation of these life-cycle systems to our classroom will make science come alive for my students in ways that may not have been possible for them before. I can't wait to share this experience with them!
