I will be moving to second grade next year and need some new materials for this school year and many more to come! My class is in need of a mentor text library to work in tandem with Rooted in Reading curriculum. Some of the books I will be asking for are The Barnabus Project by Terry Fan and John Paul George and Ben by Lane Smith. Using engaging, higher level mentor texts to teach grade level standards helps develop a rooted love of literacy that will carry them through their life.

About my class
