As a special education teacher, I see students push through difficult academic experiences every day. My students teach me the meaning of perseverance and inspire me to be the best teacher that I can be.
My students are hard working, intelligent, creative, kind, and empathetic. I feel so lucky that I get to know them on a very personal level because I get to be their teacher for up to 5 years in a row!
My students live in a diverse, suburban neighborhood and bring wonderful aspects of their culture into the classroom. Getting to know their language, traditions, and heritage is an added benefit to working in this community.
