I teach in a Title 1 school. My students come from low income households and they come to me without having had the experience that allow them to engage in type of imaginary play that is most conductive to oral language development. Although they do come with many experiences most of these experiences do not inspire appropriate imaginative play.
My lessons are developed through my students' inquiry and I truly believe that the items I am requesting will inspire Imagination, creativity, exploration, inquiry and curiosity from my students.
