The following resources and materials are the ones I chose for our project. The Mobile Charging Cart for tablets will help us charge our twenty-eight tablets overnight so they will be ready for use the following day for activities such as Kahoot! (an educational math game). We could download interactive manipulatives such as number lines, fraction bars, fraction circles and interactive multiplication chart. We could watch virtual nerd teaching videos and XtraMath for mastering multiplication facts. All these will be especially beneficial to all our Special Ed. students.
The three tablets, in addition to the ones I am purchasing through another organization, PAEF, who granted me a grant last December 2017. This will suffice the number of tablets needed for the number of students we have in our math classes that are averaging from twenty-five to thirty students per class.
The set of smiley face whiteboard erasers will encourage students to come up to the board when asked to show their work and share it with the class.
Lastly, the Math Clock will attract and stimulate students to solve and read the correct time each time.
The use of technology will not only motivate our students to work and participate in class but more so, the use of technology will encourage our students to aspire and aim higher in life. With the tablets in their hands, they will be prepared to handle office type of work with the use of word processors, will learn how to do a research online, may manipulate some interactive math websites and several more futuristic skills that will guide and help them be successful later in life.
I would like to thank you, Ðǿմ«Ã½.org, in advance for the great assistance you all are giving educators! God Bless you and more power!
