My students live in a small rural area. Most students do not have direct access to museums, or art shows. Most of their interaction with visual culture is through art class. Even though they have this limited access to visual culture, they are always excited to learn about what the world has to offer and what artists have created before them. Our school has limited resources for funds, so most of my budget goes towards actual art supplies so that my students are guaranteed the opportunity to create art and express themselves.
