Team Infinity, as the students named our class, is a group of 42 students who love to learn! Their parents say our class is an overwhelming reason that they wake up ready to go to school. (That is a difficult feeling to find in many 4th/5th graders!!) Our neighborhood public school is home to many programs, a diverse population, and hard-working families. Our 500+ student body performs well due to the huge hearts of our teachers and parents, but as I say to my students, "There's always room for improvement!" My students are particularly interested in hands-on construction projects where they are given the responsibility to manage and make decisions. As the teacher, I facilitate, assign, assist if requested, and supervise. My students are the project managers, researchers, collaborators, and designers of the final product. They teach me new things everyday, and I make it my personal goal to help them find or investigate their passions in learning.
