My students work very hard all day long. To get them more involved in their own learning, I have set up a treasure box in our classroom. As students reach goals that we have set together as a class, they get to go to the treasure box for a positive reward. We also set up individual goals that each student is resposible for meeting. Having great incentives in the treasure box helps the students to want to complete their goals. Just as adults look forward to their paycheck after working hard, my students look forward to their trip to the treasure box.
