Our gifted studies classroom becomes a hive of activity from 8:50 to 3:15, Monday - Friday, where learning and growing happen during small group, whole group, and individual opportunities. We are a true community, respecting one another's strengths and needs. No matter where you look, there's bound to be innovative projects in the works! Empowerment is the name of the game! When one thing doesn't work, we try something else. Our only rule - we persevere!
Gifted students participate in a multitude of learning tasks, many of which they design themselves. Providing all students with the tools to be successful and with opportunities to extend their learning outside of the classroom is a passion of mine. I love to watch their minds work as they tackle a situation without fear of mistakes, because, after all, it's the mistakes that cause the learning!
