Ozobots are small robots that light up. The little robots will read a code or pattern of lines made with colored markers. Students use markers of various colors and draw color patterns-teaching math skills. The lines the students draw or code will be read by the robot and the robot will follow the command. Students will need to revise and edit their codes and this will help students learn about the writing process and teach problem solving skills. I also, want to use Ozobots to teach my ELL students through hands on experiences. I want to prepare my students for the real world and teach them critical thinking skills early. Technology is part of our everyday life and it is continuing to play a bigger role in our everyday life. Students need to be prepared for their future.
