Aliens have landed on Earth! Are they friend or foe? To find out, you need to unlock this box. All the answers are inside! Hurry! The world is depending on you! The excitement in the room is palpable as students work together to solve this mystery. They are given six clues. These clues are related to a content area of my choice. Each clue matches a lock and brings them one step closer to "saving the world"! The locks we requested are different combination locks and padlocks with keys. They are working within a time limit to match clues with the various locks to open the box. The pressure is on; can they do it? Imagine how engaging this activity can be. Instead of just putting a paper assessment in front of students, I am providing them with a hands-on, collaborative way to show their skills in any subject area. These locks and boxes can be used repeatedly to support any learning content.
