This project will help my students become more responsible in my classroom and eventually in their personal lives. Right now our papers frequently get shoved into desks and end up on the floor and ultimately in the trash. No parent wants to see a wrinkled paper in their child's backpack.
Pencils and crayons are everywhere as not all my students have pencil boxes and some boxes have already broken from everyday use. Some of my students are already on their second box of crayons and will need a third before we get to Thanksgiving.
Other items are just to rebuild some of what was left by the previous teacher and work on managing our centers and manipulatives.
