My students are a first through third Special Day Class in a public school setting. Although my students are faced with learning challenges, they deserve the rich print environment they need to be successful in the classroom. My students learn best through hands-on experiences and by being exposed to books and phonic building tools at their functioning level. Reading can be discouraging, especially if you are reading three grade levels below. I want my students to have access to material that will help build their phonics and sight word recognition ability. My students want to be good readers and I want to help build their confidence when it comes to reading. I want them to become life long readers!
About my class
