I am a Primary V.E. (varying exceptionality) teacher at a Title 1 school, which means we have a large population of low income students. I teach children with special needs who are in kindergarten through third grade. I have 11 students, and all of them have disabilities.
These disabilities range from specific learning disabilities to children who are on the autism spectrum. One thing that all of my students have in common is their need to learn differently. That can include things like lots of movement, hands on materials to manipulate, small groups of learners, and areas to decompress or earn special free time.
This is my third year as a V.E. teacher, but I still have a large amount of equipment that I need to create, purchase, or discover to improve my students focus, learning ability and attention span. While I have made some leaps and bounds in this area, I still need your help. Thank you for considering me!
