I have a total of 24 students this year. They range greatly from their personalities to their academic skills. They all enjoy coming to school and their attendance has been great this year. They put forth the effort to do the best they can. They are awesome at asking questions if they don't understand something. They are polite and respectful to each other and those outside of our room. They are a fun, loving bunch of kids. Our school is made up of low income dominant families. There is a great need for some personal touches in the classroom that the students can be proud of and will want to take care of. This will also teach them responsibility. We often have students who come in the winter with light jackets and no gloves or hats, as well as quite a few who come hungry and withdrawn.
