Our Title I school owns 1 digital camera to share among 30-35 students in the Journalism/ Yearbook class. This limits the amount of learning opportunities and school events they can cover at a time which, in turn, causes those precious moments to slip away.
Adding to the availability of technology will empower student learning, encouraging them to not only expand the horizon, but to capture it with their own hands.
With a device to hold and use for their journalism projects, we are giving the students of low-income families an opportunity to level the playing field of success and expand their future career options.
