Sitting in hard plastic chairs every hour of every day makes for a long and tiresome period of time. That is the current atmosphere for most of our high school classrooms. However, there are some teachers that have made the move to changing the climate of their classroom and have moved to flexible seating. I would like to implement this into my room to give my students a more relaxed setting to learn.
The casual design of flexible seating offers students the chance to sit comfortably and give them a sense of home. My goal is to help improve attendance and work ethic by creating a more positive learning culture. This will help eliminate some of the basic distractions that every high school student faces daily.
