I am a Kindergarten teacher at a public school in Brooklyn, New York. The majority of my students qualify for free lunch, therefore we are considered a high poverty area. My students strive hard to achieve all goals and meet grade level benchmarks. My students are excited to learn each and everyday. The students range in literacy and math levels. I also have a very large population of English Language Learners which leads myself, as an educator, to come up with creative ways to increase student engagement.
