I work with many students who have yet to discover a love of reading. I am excited for novel ways to share books with my students with the hope that they will fall in love! I plan to transform my reading classroom into the dining room of a fancy restaurant where we serve new and exciting books! Students will be seated at their tables and have time to taste a few new books and hopefully fall in love with at least one! Each table will be covered with the cloth tablecloths and decorated with flowers and candles, just like you would find at a nice restaurant. Students will be assigned to tables where new books await them. They will be given a few minutes to preview each book and add titles that pique their interest to their Menu of Books, a list of books they plan to read in the future.
