I am requesting some comfortable inexpensive headphones for every student in my class to have the freedom to listen to stories, research projects, learn to type and take tests with a their own headphones. We also need a storage system and binder clips to organize the headphones for extended use.
With a class set of quality headphones, students will be able to work on so many more skills and have access to so much more on the computer.
Each student will have their own pair of headphones, which allows for practice in listening comprehension which is a vital reading and writing skill.
Students will be able to listen to their weekly story during small groups time establishing a deeper understanding. Students can also work on individual math problems, reading comprehension and typing skills! Because the headphones are individualized, each student will be able focus on the computer since outside noise will be eliminated.
These tools will expand opportunities and heighten engagement.
