The majority of my students come from low-income families. They are English Language Learners which means English is their second language. That is one of the reasons why it so important that they maintain an interest in reading. The school is a Title 1 school with a large amount of English Language Learners. My students are eager to read but are limited to the books that I can provide for them in our classroom.
