Our classroom is a vibrant, exciting, and often noisy place where learning is fun and interactive. We use a lot of music and movement activities to help activate our brains as we learn and grow as a community.
My students are coming to kindergarten with a variety of previous experiences--some never having been in an educational setting before, some only experiencing PreK in person 2 days a week from March to June due to COVID, and others having been in preschool settings for multiple school years--and having a variety of skill levels. Some students are just beginning to recognize letters, while others are recognizing sight words and beginning to read. All students want to be excited and engaged in the activities they are working on.
