A traditional classroom setting limits us to sitting on the floor or on chairs through most of our day at school. This option doesn't allow us the movement we need to help our minds function at their full capacity. Being forced to sit on a chair too long can make us uncomfortable and fidgety, causing us to lose focus on important tasks.
Although we have opportunities for movement and recess throughout our school day, this is not always enough for these active learners. Flexible seating options would allow us choice for comfort and the ability to move as we learn.
