Students in band classes here range from 5th grade to high school. Students here are eager to learn, eager to participate, and eager to be creative. Our school is in a very small town in rural Iowa. Many of the teachers here are ones who have been here for many years, and many of the students here are second or third generation students to have some of the same teachers.
With the support of some amazing and generous donors, my goal of revitalizing the band program at my school is starting to look like a reality! My donorschoose.org projects are all about hands-on learning in the band room, and projects include new items as well as items to repair and restore instruments to playable condition .
