Matsuyama Elementary is an urban/suburban school located in a pocket neighborhood of our capital city, Sacramento. My students are diverse in every aspect of the word. They come from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, speak a variety of languages, live in apartments or houses, are being raised by married and single parents, as well as, other family members or foster parents. All my students come to me with different learning abilities and several of my students have disabilities which makes accessing learning even more difficult.
