My students need a iPad and accessories. Recently we have purchased the program Osmo. Osmo provides the opportunity for students to work on skills ranging from visual/spacial skills, to fine motor skills, to reading and math, and even coding! These programs require the use of an iPad.
Research has shown that technology is useful in increasing learning for students on the Autism Spectrum. We would love to create that opportunity for the students in our classroom.
There are also several apps available on the iPad to teach social skills. Students can interact with technology to learn skills initially and then work to transfer and generalize those skills.
