Most of my students in Marketing, Sales, and Principles of Business are interested in pursuing careers in these areas or owning their own businesses. The supplies on my list will give them a chance to apply the course content with a real-world, hands-on approach to the 4 Ps of marketing (product, price, promotion, and place). My Honors Marketing students will do the brunt of the work in planning and designing the product (t-shirts), determining who their target market is, and brainstorming ways to reach their market. With these supplies, my students will get a chance to experience what it takes to plan, create, and sell a product, touching on many aspects of marketing, sales, and business. Each class will be responsible for a portion of the project, corresponding to their course content. Communication, organizational skills, and teamwork will be key components in this project, as well as in real life. All proceeds will be donated to our school's DECA organization to help fund the member's opportunities to compete in Regional, State, and National competitions. So, please help my students create, market, sell and donate.
