Our dual language classroom community includes 26 low-income students. We are part of a school that believes there is a path to college for each and every one of us. My students are at different stages in the process of learning how to speak, read, and write two languages (English and Spanish), and are developing pride in their ethnic and cultural heritage in a school that is preparing them to be citizens of a global community.
