As a teacher, I try to give my students the best learning experience I can. I try to instill in them that without hard work, you can't achieve anything, and for my students, they need to work hard. They need to work hard everyday. I have been a teacher at B.E.S.T. (Barnard Environmental Studies and Technology School) for 17 years. In those seventeen years I have have primarily taught 5th and 6th grade. My current postion at B.E.S.T is math instructional coach. As math coach, I run professional developments for teachers, work with students in small groups, lead math meetings and do everything in my power to instill a love of math throughout my school.
The students I work with need to work twice as hard as the average student to get just as far, but all of my students are up for the challenge. My students are funny, caring, and enthusiastic kids that take a challenge head on. That is why we need your help.
