Our school is a magnet elementary school. We have students from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Our focus is arts and problem solving. We "loop" for two years, which means my students come to me in 3rd grade and continue through 4th. We also ability group for reading and math class, which means my homebase students will have the possibility of having 2 or 3 different teachers. I teach a total of about 55 different children in one day since my reading and math students are not the same as my homebase students. I am also on a grade level team of teachers who all work together to differentiate our district curriculum to fit the needs of our various students.
